Playhound’s Autumn / Winter ‘08 - Take a pause, and walk minimal path.
August 1st, 2008 by ghboutiqueIt’s been long that Playhound has been regarded as a Maximalist with excessive flamboyant designs and overtly radical artistic mind to convey another ‘possible’ aspect of fashion. This Autumn/Winter Playhound takes a little pause looking at the seemingly opposite direction, Minimalist.
Maximal minimalist is a view Playhound translates the idea of minimalism by blending it into Playhound’s fashion manner more accurately said Playhound is being minimal. Inspired by an American artist Donald Judd, the simple geometric forms such as rectangle, triangle and circle were placed onto form of cutting pattern, featuring geometric abstraction design on shirt, dress, jacket and printed-tee.
The collection silhouette recalls the 90’s tailor starring an attenuated silhouette of pantsuits, bar-shouldered jacket with a hidden two-button row, paired with floor-length gangster-girl skirt. Luxe techno fabric gives a collection more confident shape than ever.
Key palette is 100% back-to-basic, purest white, granite grey and inky black, twisted by hard bright magenta pink, toxic blue and green, also on the new scheme of Playhound’s Dogma emblem, which comes with minimal shade of B&W.
Despite minimal silhouettes and colour selections, Playhound does not give up their playful gimmicks like unique art prints. Let Playhound by Greyhound bring the glory period of Minimalist back to your closet.
