Greyhound Original’s Autumn / Winter ‘08 - Welcome to the city without the edge.

August 1st, 2008 by ghboutique

Following the Spring / Summer 08 collection, “Controlled Chaos”, Greyhound Original’s Collection this season, “Soften the Edges” continues to be inspired by city culture, but with an au courant perspective influenced by the soft edges of modern architecture and new urban living.

The season’s key silhouette is bolder with boxier and looser tops, with slimmer drainpipe-pants and bottom pieces to accentuate rounded lines and curve cuts. The Cocoon silhouette brings back a glory moment of “Streamline Moderne” reference also to resemble the 80’s fashion movement of high waist pants and skirts mixed with Greyhound’s essence of modern chic and a touch of rebellious rock and roll attitude.

Fabrics used are a mixture of modern techno, semi transparent fiber and traditional cotton, silk and wool. Satirical print graphics boldly reflect the attitudes, issues and art of modern urban dwelling, such as the new print called ‘Zip-plaid’, in a liquid-liked graphic.

This season’s colors are some of Greyhound’s palettes - black, white, grey and dark brown- with a splash of deep tangerine, fuchsia pink and French mustard yellow.
