Hound Are You next step!!

Thursday, May 14th, 2009

Ciao all,

From now on, our blog will welcome a guest contributor. Of course he/she is our friend from the industry. So no matter who they are, what they’ll blog, we can guarantee that they will feature a really high in the ideas and creativity in the forum.

Allora, let’s start with the father mother (or whatever you may claim…but we found his face on tshirt at Platinum Mall and Lido, what an icon!) of Bangkok Party Scene. Da Da Da he’s Note from Dudesweet. If you guys ever read  Supersweet (best magazine ever IMO, which Note found and contributed many many crazy yet hunky-dory editorials), you’re gonna be so sure of his taste of music and sense of humour style.

His first job with us will be a blurb from the last night Niteshift party feat. DJ set from Moderndog’s May-T and Apartment Khunpa’s Tul.

xoxo

Unseen Guy Bourdin

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

“Was an artist who used photograph to paint” says Jules Wright, director of The Wapping Project, about Guy Bourdin where a 32 of his previously unexhibited works are on show until 4 July.

About the Wapping Project (which some of you may know), it was The Wapping Hydraulic Power Station (image below after the jump) built in 1890. After its closure the building was converted and reopened as an arts centre (the Wapping Project) and restaurant (Wapping Food). Exhibitions are held in the basement and the main ground floor hall houses the restaurant. Some of the original equipment is still in place.

where_the_wild_things_are

I read this ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ when I was young. The story’s so clever, with the visionary illustrate. And it’s now become directed by Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich, 1999 and Adaptation, 2002) an adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s classic children’s story, where Max, a disobedient little boy sent to bed without his supper, creates his own world–a forest inhabited by ferocious wild creatures that crown Max as their ruler.
